David "Bird" Partridge (1919-2006)
David has now gone to that big Naillie in the sky but his works are everywhere with us. This website, now relocated to some internet space of Ron Bloore's, continues as a tribute.
ENTER PARTRIDGE STAGE LEFT: Shortly after the Phenomena show in '03 a stroke put an end to the use of the artist's right hand and an end to forty years of Naillies. This prompted a reversion to watercolour as a medium and a new twist in Partridge's continuing pursuit of abstraction.
Four shows are represented here by collections of images with some notes; the last two Naillie shows, Phenomena of 2003, and the Orbs show of 2001, a Rodman Hall retrospective of sorts, also from 2001, and the large exhibition of 1999.
